Biography of Képler Laveran pepe

Pepe personal career
Képler Laveran Lima Ferreira, commonly known as Pepe  was born on 26 February 1983 in Brazil. HE is a professional footballer, who plays for Spanish club Real Madrid and the Portuguese national team, his playing place mainly as a central defender. Pepe is technically impeccable, tactically perfect, has a great sense of positioning, speed, strength and intelligence. He is very strong in the air and is also elegant when playing the ball out of defence. Since he arrived at the club, Pepe has been a vital presence at the heart of the Real Madrid defence. He told radio station Onda Cero, I try to play as cleanly as possible and not to commit fouls, but in my position it is not easy to play without committing fouls. Referees don’t have Sergio Ramos’ number the way they have mine. I can’t remember the last time I was sent off.’

Pepe's national information

Pepe never represented his native Brazil in any youth category. He became naturalized in August 2007 and, on the 30th, was named in the Portuguese squad for the first time, in view of a UEFA Euro 2008 qualifier against Poland, an injury while training for his club prevented the debut for his adopted country, which would materialize almost four months later, in Portugal's last game in the tournament against Finland on 21 November (0–0 home draw). His progress has been meteoric throughout his career. He won many titles in Portugal such as the Intercontinental Cup, two Portuguese League titles, the Portuguese Cup and the Portuguese Super Cup before joining Real Madrid in 2007. In the 2014 World Cup season, Pepe received a red card in the first half of Portugal's against og Germany national team, for headbutting Thomas Müller having walked back to his opponent, who was sitting on the ground to do so, late into the first half of an eventual 0–4 loss.

The Madrid central defender Pepe started his career at Brazilian clubs and came to Europe at the age of 18 when he signed for Marítimo in Portugal. He stayed there for three seasons until in the 2004/2005 season his defensive abilities took him to Oporto. Since he was a child, he knew exactly what he wanted to achieve: "Oporto was a step up in my career because my dream was to play for Real Madrid". The good news for Pepe is that, Madrid still managed to beat Getafe despite that late penalty and the defender's red card. On 19 August 2012, in the league opener against Valencia, Pepe collided with Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas in the play that led to the visitors equalizing the score result 1–1 . He was subsequently taken to hospital for observation, being released the following day. He has been left "devastated" and "disillusioned" with football in the wake of Tuesday's derby clash with Getafe where he "lost control" after conceding a late penalty and being sent off.
