Alexis Alejandro was born 19 December 1988.He is a Chilean footballer, who plays for English club Arsenal and the Chilean national team as a forward, His playing position is striker.
Alexis Alejandro, in (2011), was signed by Barcelona for £25 million, becoming the most expensive transfer in Chilean football history. Alexis signed for Arsenal in July (2014) for a fee reported to be around £30–35 million.He making him the second-most expensive signing in the club's history after Mesut Özil.
He has been a full international for Chile since 2006.He playing predominantly as the main striker. He earned over 70 caps and played in two FIFA World Cups (2010/2014) and the (2011) Copa América.
His strong performances allowed him break into the team's starting lineup after successfully challenging Mario Cáceres for the position of striker and began partnering Humberto Suazo in attack. On 1 November, he scored his first brace at Pedreros in a 4–4 draw with Deportes La Serena.
He played on 14 September, his first game in Serie A in a 1–0 loss with Juventus and after four days, he made his European debut against Borussia Dortmund. On 19 October (2008), Alexis scored his first league goal against Lecce. After this first goal, Alexis got into a minor slump, in which he took much criticism.
