Data of  a spainish futboler Martín Montoya

Martín Montoya Torralbo was born on 14 April 1991 in Gavà, Spain. He is a Spanish professional and famous footballer, who plays for FC Barcelona, as a right back defender. The homegrown defender sang along with the chorus in praise of Luis Enrique. “He’s the perfect manager for FC Barcelona because he projects character, fight and sacrifice. If I had to point out something about Lucho, it would be his character and ambition.” Looking more and the Xs and Os, Montoya divulged that while tactically, “Things are very similar to what we did in other seasons… (Lucho) asks the fullbacks to push further up, and the wide players move more into the middle of the field and to run to be a bit deeper this year. He gives us a lot of freedom to do the things we believe are right in a given situation.”

Martín Montoya national career

In 2011, Montoya earned his first cap with the Spanish under-21 team. He was picked by manager Luis Milla to the squad that competed in that year's UEFA European Championship, and started in all the games as the national side won the tournament in Denmark. Speaking last night in Finland, Martín Montoya is under no illusions that breaking into the starting lineup for another campaign will be a tall order. “I don’t feel like a starter for this season because the best wide man in the world is ahead of me, but my intention is to learn from him and play more minutes than last year, that’s my goal.” More after the jump. On 25 August 2011, Montoya was selected for the first time to the full side by coach Vicente del Bosque, for games against Chile and Liechtenstein.

Martín Montoya Club career

Montoya again spent the vast majority of 2011–12 with the reserves. His first start for the first team occurred on 12 January 2012, in which he 2–1 away triumph against CA Osasuna for the season's Copa del Rey (6–1 on aggregate). He played in the final of the domestic cup, appearing the full 90 minutes in a 3–0 win over Athletic Bilbao. On 1 June 2013 season, Montoya scored his first goal as a professional, netting the third in a 4–1 home win against Málaga FC. He finished the campaign with 24 appearances all competitions comprised, totaling 1,678 minutes of action. Primarily a right-back, Montoya has impressed at times for Barca, but has found it difficult to get a regular run in the first team ahead of Dani Alves.
